In this tour-de-force one-woman play Armani recounts the fascinating story of her grandmother’s flight during the Armenian genocide and the latter’s miraculous reunion with her lost husband in Aleppo in 1918, her own upbringing in 1960’s Cairo and the departure of many minorities such as Greeks, Italians Jews and Armenians from Egypt after Nasser came to power in the 1950’s.
