Helene Pilibosian was for many years editor and then co-editor of the Armenian Mirror-Spectator newspaper, in which capacity she wrote many book reviews and feature articles. She also contributed poems to Ararat quarterly (among other magazines), a prize-winning literary magazine devoted to Armenian-related subject matter. This book is the result of her work with both publications as well as autobiographical reflections on her home town of Watertown, Massachusetts, to which many Armenian emigrants came in large numbers after World War I.
