This exhibit showcases the life and works of Moses Hadji Gulesian, a poor immigrant from Marash who helped shape Armeican culture in the early 20th century. A successful lecturer, businessman, playwright, realtor, politican and patriot, Gulesian helped save Old Ironsides, developed Boston’s Back Bay, supported theater arts and employed and later competed against legendary Boston mayor James Michael Curley.
