ALMA's 2012 Spring Sports Raffle
‘Final Inning’ Reception - July 17, 2012

It was another homerun for ALMA as its 2012 Spring Sports Raffle campaign successfully raised much needed funds for ALMA’s public programs and exhibits.

The annual campaign culminated on July 17, with Boston Bruins announcer on NESN Jack Edwards drawing the winning tickets during the special ‘Final Inning’ reception hosted by ALMA.

For three months, ALMA supporters, trustees and sports fans generously stepped up to the plate to purchase raffle tickets for their chance to win 10 incredible sports packages graciously donated by ALMA Trustees. A few of the raffle’s participants attended the ‘Final Inning’ reception to hear first-hand who the lucky winners would be. The Gallery surged with excitement as guests mingled while enjoying ballpark hotdogs, sausages, pizzas, popcorn and frosty beverages – all the staple stadium foods.

With anticipation mounting, Jack Edwards finally drew the winning tickets and ALMA Trustee Bob Khederian announced this year’s lucky participants before the two hour-long celebration came to an end.

ALMA’s Raffle Committee, as well as the entire Board, wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone who generously supported ALMA’s 2012 Sports Raffle! The success of this fundraising campaign, especially during challenging times for non-profit organizations, will allow ALMA to move forward with its commitment to provide educational exhibits and programs, to preserve and display Armenian artifacts, and to continue to share the story of Armenia’s rich history and culture.
