ALMA's 5th Spring Sports Raffle
Hits it Out of the Park with ‘Final Inning’ Reception on July 13, 2009
 It was another homerun for the Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) as its 5th SPRING SPORTS RAFFLE campaign successfully raised much needed funds for ALMA’s public programs and exhibits.
The annual campaign, which kicked-off this past April, culminated on July 13 with Boston Globe sportswriter Tony Massarotti drawing the winning tickets during a special ‘Final Inning’ Reception hosted by ALMA.
For four months, ALMA supporters, trustees and sports fans generously stepped up to the plate to purchase raffle tickets for their chance to win eight incredible sports packages, all graciously donated by ALMA trustees. Many of the raffle’s participants attended the ‘Final Inning’ Reception in ALMA’s Contemporary Art Gallery to hear first-hand who the lucky winners would be. The Gallery surged with excitement as guests mingled with Massarotti while enjoying ballpark hotdogs, sausages, pizza, popcorn, crackerjacks, peanuts and frosty beverages – all the staple stadium foods.
With anticipation mounting, Massarotti finally drew the winning tickets and ALMA trustee Michele Kolligian announced this year’s lucky participants before the hour-long celebration came to an end. The 2009 Spring Sports Raffle winners are:
