PLAY READING AND PANEL DISCUSSION
"DEPORTED/ A Dream Play," a play by Joyce Van Dyke and directed by Judy Braha

ALMA Executive Director Mariam Stepanyan will participate in Telling Stories about the Genocide in the Theatre, a thematic panel discussion that will take place on Monday, May 4, 2009 at the Charles Mosesian Theater (Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal St., Watertown). The disucssion will follow the reading of DEPORTED/ A Dream Play, which tells the true story of two women who saved each other's lives, and a friendship shaped by the legacy of the Armenian Genocide.  Two of the characters are based on Genocide survivors' interviews from ALMA's Oral History Collection.  The event begins at 7:30 p.m.
